Establishing Values

Michael has been a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) since 1999, receiving a CRA (Canadian Residential Appraiser) designation in 2001, and the AACI designation in 2013.  He has previous experience in the industry as a property assessor with Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency and after some time away from the industry, returned in 2008 as an appraiser with Fox Appraisals.  He started Michael Fox Valuations in 2011.  Michael is also a CPA, CMA (Chartered Professional Accountant) and believes that his knowledge and experience gained through the accounting/finance profession is a key benefit in providing commercial and industrial appraisal services. Michael is committed to the profession and volunteers much time and energy to the provincial association of the AIC, including four terms as Provincial President.

Michael has lived in Regina for many years, leaving for a period to experience life outside this wonderful province and, in the process, gaining a greater appreciation of the benefits of living in Regina.  Michael and his family make their home in Regina, participating in a variety of activities offered throughout the city, volunteering with local associations including Hockey Regina, Baseball Regina and North Regina Little League. His family enjoys camping at the local parks in the summer, along with downhill skiing and sledding in the winter.  Michael and his wife look forward to raising our sons in this wonderful community.

Michael is also proud to have volunteered with the professional associations he is involved with.  He is a member in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada and the Chartered Professional Accountants Canada.  Michael has served as a council member with the Society of Management Accountants of Canada (Saskatchewan) in 2003/2004 and sat on the Discipline Committee until 2014.  He is currently Chair of the Appraisal Institute of Canada Investigation Committee (since 2020) and Past President of the Saskatchewan Association of the Appraisal Institute of Canada (2008/2009/2010/2011).
